Friends notice board

This is a free service for Friends to make announcements and raise issues they wish to bring to the attention of the general public. We will also use this page to announce new events and other matters of interest to the membership

To post an announcement please send an email to friends@millsarchivetrust.org with the following information (use the current listings as an example)

  • An image, if possible, which we can make into a thumbnail
  • A short announcement (maximum 25 words)
  • Your name as you would wish it to appear below
  • A suitable attachment (Word document, email text, PDF etc; maximum 100KB) or a link to a website
  • Please indicate your preferred expiry date for the notice; otherwise it will be removed after one month

All notices will be vetted and we reserve the right not to display those we feel are unsuitable. By submitting a notice, the Friend is affirming that he or she has the legal right to make any statements or offers they submit and will indemnify and hold the Mills Archive Trust harmless from any claim against us by a third party resulting from the submission.

Usually notices will be displayed for one month. The Mills Archive Trust accepts no liability for inaccuracies on this site, nor any consequence arising therefrom. It is wise to check with the originator before parting with money or making travel plans.

Watlington House, Reading

The Friends' Garden Party was held at Watlington House on Saturday 19 July 2008. Almost 60 Friends and their guests attended. A breezy, sunny day was much enjoyed and the Friends enjoyed an exhibition and various behind-the-scenes demonstrations as well as a slide show created by volunteer and Friend Colin Mitchell.
