When I was at junior school in the 60's near Eton we used to go to an organised school camp in tents in the field by the Wolverton Mill. There was a local story that the mill is haunted by the ghost of a gilted lady who leapt from an upper floor into the mill stream where she was swept into the mill gear which "noisily ground and crushed her bones"....I still remember those words from a local guide pamphlet after all these years!
Cheers
Andy

I have written a summary of our findings which include a list of millers with tenancy dates, and details of the various alterations and extensions over the years.

For our research we have mainly used local libraries, and an article in "The Watermills of Buckinghamshire" . The details are in the atttached "Related Article"
If anyone has any data on Wolverton Mill (known as Old Wolverton Mill and Mill Farm in the past), I would be very grateful if you could share it. We especially want old photos, both inside and out.
