Whitmore and Binyon may have made thier local village pump in Wickham Market (image) - but there are serious doubts. There is nothing in the extensive archive recently catalogued by Chris Wheeler at the Mills Archive. Does anyone have any comment?

My interest is village pumps, and I've been told that a pump in Wickham Market, Suffolk, was made by famous millwrights Whitmore & Binyon. However, both the model and the corroded maker's plate suggest otherwise. Do you have any evidence that Whitmore & Binyon produced their own cast iron water pumps? Most grateful for any help please!
