Just thought we would send this to you - in case you fancied a day out here in Bromley by Bow on Sunday 28th June!! We are telling the Story of Three Mills Island, as part of the initiative by Mayor Boris Johnson for the month of June, where places and people tell the Story of London.
As well as the House Mill being open for guided tours, British Waterways will open up to the public for the first time the new lock in the Prescott Channel - Three Mills Lock - which might make an interesting visit. We will have various stalls outside on the island relating to local activities and - if the weather holds - a BBQ in the garden of the Miller's House.
We have ordered sunshine, so if you are at a loose end, please do come and visit!
Best wishes
Beverley Charters
