Matthew Bannister presents the obituary series, analysing and celebrating the life stories of people who have recently died. The programme reflects on people of distinction and interest from many walks of life, some famous and some less well known.

Ken's obituary in "The Times" at http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/obituaries/article6787679.ece has attracted the BBC's attention.

The programme can be played on BBC iplayer and I think you should be able to digitally record it from there:

www.bbc.co.uk/player/radio/bbc_radio_four?page=3 programmes are alphabetically listed so just scroll down to Last Word Fri 21st

you'll need to be quick in case they don't keep it beyond Thursday. Mildred is at the end of the programme - it is a good item but sadly not as long a all the other obits on it.

cheers
Sheila
