GM Bartlett's letter in today's Sunday Telegraph bemoans the emphasis on wind turbines in Wales when there are so many watermill sites available.

The editors have added a catching but irrelevant image of Lady Isabella, so I have borrowed one from the Mills Archive!

Bartlett's point is that the powers that be are ignoring water resources such as disused reservoirs in the Welsh hills in favour of destroying potentailly useful farming land to erect wind turbines which only work with the right wind.

He would like to see the Welsh Assembly use all the available and unused mill races before any more windmills are built. There is apparently a lot of water in Wales
