It is with great sadness that I relay news of Geoff's death. Geoff passed way on 20 December in London after a short illness. Geoff's family have asked that nobody contacts the family by email or phone as they have much to deal with.
Geoff was a well-regarded and popular figure in the UK mill world and his many friends will miss his cheerful humour. He was the last mill person in the line of the Holman family of millwrights and has done much to draw the threads of that story together.
In the last couple of years Geoff was active in promoting the Kent Mills Society. His last posting on this site was to promote a meeting of that group and the Society will not be able to replace him, even if they can find another chairman.
