The Mills Archive is holding Open Days to mark National Heritage Weekend. For the first time Watlington House itself will be open.

The House is interesting in its own right - built in the William and Mary Style and then altered in the reign of Queen Anne, it is the oldest house in Reading.

We felt we should join the house in welcoming the public to come and see what we do, so why not join us? We are open on Friday and Saturday 10 and 11 September, between 10am and 4pm. No appointment is needed, but if you want to see anything specific email our Collections Manager, Sheila Viner .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) so that we can get the material ready for you.

Well over 100 visitors came to see us on the two days - and saw our volunteers in action.

We enjoyed it and will look at doing the same again next year
