These two views of Carlton le Moorland post mill, Lincolnshire NGR SK 897 585 were taken on 26 June 1934
These are two of more than 1000 postcards in our Simmons Collection. Herbert Edward Sidney Simmons was a prolific recorder of mills in England before and during the Second World War.
As well as Sid Simmons, Hallam Ashley was also photographing the mill in 1934 and we have a splendid series of glass plates of the mill with some interiors in the Hallam Ashley Collection.
